Emily The Criminal preview

Emily is struggling to make ends meet in Los Angeles. She is stuck in the job market and is working as a food delivery worker. She struggles and drowns in student debt as a result of a prior minor criminal record. When a coworker exposes her to a credit card scam ring, she quickly finds herself in over her head. There she was introduced to buying goods with stolen credit cards, supplied as a dummy shopper.

Still trapped in dead-end job interviews, Emily finds quick cash and illicit thrills as a solution to her current situation. She then starts learning how to produce fraudulent credit cards from one of the ring’s organizers, a handsome and charismatic middleman named Youcef.

Despite various bumps in the road, Emily and Youcef build a love bond and build their shady gig to steal the ring in the criminal underworld. Things swiftly unravel, however, as Youcef is gravely hurt, and Emily is forced to flee with the stolen money. The movie hit Australian cinemas last 8th June 2022, theatrically released by Universal Pictures and Vertical Entertainment Roadside Attractions.
