Recently winning the Logies for Most Outstanding Comedy, Colin from Accounts starring Patrick Brammall (No Activity) and Harriet Dyer (Wakefield) is a must-see for those who want a rom-com with a big heart.
Following two people whose lives are changed forever after they’re brought together by a car accident and an injured dog, BINGE’s original series is a feel-good love story filled with hilarious antics and charming sentiments. Colin from Accounts preview
Colin from Accounts tells the story of Ashley (Dyer) and Gordon (Brammall), two single, complex humans whose fates are intertwined when Ashley decides to flash Gordon. When a stray dog idly walking by and minding his own business gets hit as a result, their supposed-to-be fleeting encounter becomes something else.
Now they have to navigate life together with their party loving friends as they care for the dog, and while love stories don’t typically start that way, the funny and interesting ones do. Before they know it, Ashley is buying new furniture after making a mess in Gordon’s sock drawer and she’s taking him to her birthday dinner at Ashley’s stepfather creepy Professor Lee’s house.
While things seem to be working in the beginning, Ashley and Gordon’s awkward sexual encounter also causes them to feel awkward around each other. Despite the seemingly endless hilarious mishaps both of them go through, Ash and Gordon’s relationship manages to bounce back (even the accidental dirty pic that has Gordon chasing Ashley from a garage sale to a death bed).
Foxtel Group commissioned the series, with Rob Gibson and Ian Collie producing for Easy Tiger productions alongside CBS Studios. The series is directed by Trent O’Donnell (No Activity, The Letdown), Matt Moore (The Great and Diary of an Uber Driver) and Madeleine Dyer.
Brammall, Dyer and O’Donnell also serve as executive producers, along with BINGE executive director Alison Hurbert-Burns and Foxtel Group’s executive director of television Brian Walsh.
After the success of their debut original series, Love Me, BINGE intends to provide more top quality Australian-made content and the series winning the Logies for Most Outstanding Comedy makes it clear that Colin from Accounts is a worthwhile watch. Brammall and Dyer also won the Logies for Most Outstanding Actor and Most Outstanding Actress, respectively.
Outside Australia and New Zealand, the series is distributed by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group, with major production funding from Screen Australia and support from Screen NSW.
