Kayo Sports free trial and first-month offers

Kayo Sports does not run one standing free trial for every new customer any more, so be wary of any page that promises "7 days free" without a date on it. This guide, checked on 5 November 2026, sets out what we could confirm about Kayo trials and first-month offers, what Kayo costs after any offer, and the genuinely free ways to try Kayo or Foxtel's Fox Sports channels.

Is there a Kayo free trial in November 2026?

Not as a standing offer, and not one we can confirm. Finder's Kayo review, updated on 21 October 2026, says Kayo "no longer offers a traditional free trial for all new customers", and its comparison table lists no free trial for either plan. The same page says eligible new customers can often get a 7-day trial or the first month for $1, and its Premium listing reads "$1 for the first month, then $45.99/mth. T&Cs apply."

Two things follow from that:

• A $1 first month on Premium was being advertised to eligible new customers when Finder updated its page. Kayo's own site would not load for our checks, so we could not confirm it, its end date or who qualifies. Read the terms on Kayo's sign-up page before you enter card details.
• A 7-day free trial is something older pages (including earlier versions of this one) described. We found no current confirmation of it from Kayo, so do not count on it.

Kayo's offers change often and are usually limited to new or returning customers, so the only reliable check is the offer shown on Kayo's sign-up page on the day.

What Kayo costs after any offer

Kayo announced its current prices in January 2026, effective 5 February 2026:

Standard fell by a single cent from $30 and Premium rose from $40. Both are month-to-month with no lock-in contract. The plans were renamed in March 2025, when Kayo One became Kayo Standard and Kayo Basic became Kayo Premium, so older articles that talk about "Kayo One" and "Kayo Basic" mean these two. Ways to try sport for free (or close to it)

• Kayo Freebies. Foxtel Group says Kayo Freebies gives a selection of live sports, documentaries and classic match replays in front of the paywall. Anyone can use it by downloading the Kayo app and creating an account. It also streams some matches from local, grassroots leagues. See our guide to Kayo Freebies.
• Foxtel Now's 10-day free trial. Foxtel's own page says all new Foxtel Now customers are eligible for a 10-day free trial of any bundle, one trial per customer, after which the first monthly payment is billed. Its Sports + Movies ($84 a month) and Ultimate bundles include over 50 sports live, with channels for AFL, NRL, golf, Formula 1, Supercars and more. Foxtel's Ultimate offer of $65 a month for 12 months, for new and reactivating customers, ends on 28 December 2026. See our Foxtel Now packages comparison.
• Free-to-air. The grand finals and selected AFL and NRL matches each week are on Seven and Nine, so check our sport guide before you pay.

What you get with Kayo Sports

Foxtel Group describes Kayo as streaming over 50 sports live or on demand, with access to Fox Sports Australia, ESPN and beIN Sports and more than 30,000 hours of action, including AFL, NRL, cricket, netball and Supercars. Fox Sports and Kayo are being brought together under a single Kayo SPORTS brand in 2027, and Foxtel Group says Kayo and Foxtel will keep showing every AFL and NRL home-and-away match live in 2027 with no ad breaks during play. Formula 1 has been extended on a multi-year deal into 2027 and beyond (PlanetF1, 3 March 2026), and a new multi-year MotoGP deal with Kayo and Foxtel begins in 2027 (TV Blackbox, 4 September 2026).

• SplitView, Key Moments, No Spoilers, Interactive Stats and Kayo Minis (condensed replays)
• Fox Sports, ESPN and beIN Sports channels, plus Kayo's own shows and docos

Devices Kayo works on

The Kayo app is free to download. These are the devices we have listed as supported; Kayo's help centre has the current list and software versions.

• Phones and tablets: iOS and Android apps
• Computers: web browser on Mac and Windows (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
• TV: Apple TV, Google TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Chromecast, selected Samsung, LG and Hisense smart TVs
• Consoles: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

SplitView is not available on every device. Kayo only works inside Australia, and its site blocks VPN use.

Kayo vouchers and gift cards

New and existing customers can redeem a Kayo gift card or voucher code. New customers are asked for the code before choosing a plan. Existing customers sign in, open My Account and choose Redeem voucher.
