What’s in this Guide?

Rap Sh!t TV series plot

The series follows Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion), two estranged high school friends who meet again to form a rap group in Magic City. Both have to dive into the magic, buzz, and hustle that Miami is known for, while they brace themselves to party hard and work even harder to be seen in the music industry.

Unfazed by the challenges of starting a career in the cutthroat industry of music, the rap duo ultimately begins to see positive results. However, their rise to fame is not without compromise, slowly losing themselves as they try to meet the demands of the music industry. In the new season, we’ll see Shawna and Mia at the most pivotal moment of their rap career when they begin to question what it really means to be musicians.

Rap Sh!t is executive produced by Issa Rae and showrunner Syreeta Singleton, which first aired on HBO Max. Hip hop duo Yung Miami and JT of City Girls serve as co-executive producers, along with Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas for Quality Control Films and Sara Rastogi for HooRae. They are joined by Jonathan Berry, Montrel McKay for HooRae, Deniese Davis, and Dave Becky for 3 Arts Entertainment.
