From the creators of The Missing and Baptiste comes another dark comedic thriller starring an ensemble cast that includes Breeders star Daisy Haggard and Vigil actor Paterson Joseph.

Experiencing the lowest points of their lives, strangers Janet (Haggard) and Samuel (Joseph) meet at the most opportune time; when they come across a shipwrecked boat loaded with drugs. After having lost everything, they decide taking a massive risk is nothing. So they throw caution to the wind and agree to sell the drugs for cash.

But in doing so they become the targets of the authorities, some unforgiving hitmen, and a displeased gangster known as ‘The Tailor’. How will they ever get out of this one?

What is the plot of Boat Story?

Set along the Yorkshire coastline in northern England, Janet and Samuel are two strangers whose opportune meeting sets the stage for irreversible chaos that got them entangled with the police and the mobsters.

Finding a shipwrecked boat with loads of drugs, they defy reason and conscience to score heaps of cash. But getting your hands on a whopping amount under questionable circumstances is not without consequences, and a serious one at that.

As expected, the drugs belong to sharp-suited gangster, ‘The Tailor’ (Tcheky Karyo), who’s more than prepared to move heaven and earth to retrieve what belongs to him. Then there comes the police, who, of course, are very much involved as well.

With a complication this extensive, Janet and Samuel must employ every trick up their sleeve to survive the chaos – that or they really lose everything this time.

Boat Story is created and directed by Jack and Harry Williams. Alice Troughton and Daniel Nettheim also directed some episodes. All3Media’s Two Brothers Pictures produced the series for BBC One and Amazon Freeve.
