How to watch Chicago Fire in Australia

Chicago Fire

The Chicago franchise is set to continue in November with Chicago Fire Season 10. The show has always been a big hit with Aussie TV fans, and the latest season should be no different. Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, who penned the screenplays for 2 Fast 2 Furious, 3:10 to Yuma, and Wanted, created Chicago Fire, which first aired back in 2012. Find out how to watch the latest episodes, as well as previous seasons right here.

Chicago Fire TV series preview

Chicago Fire is the first instalment of the Chicago franchise, followed by Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and the short-lived Chicago Justice. The show follows the life of Chicago Fire Department firefighters, rescuers, and paramedics in the fictitious Chicago Firehouse 51, which is home to the Engine Company 51, Truck Company 81, Rescue Squad Company 3, Battalion 25, and Ambulance 61.

In season 1, the men and women of Firehouse 51 are introduced whilst grappling with grief following a tragic loss. After the death of veteran Firefighter Andrew Darden, loyalties split and divide as Lieutenant Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) blame each other for their long-time friend and colleague’s death.  Peter Mills, a Firefighter Candidate assigned to Truck Company 81, is a newcomer to the station who is following in the footsteps of his late father and attempting to find his place in the service, despite his mother’s opposition.

Chicago Fire’s initial seasons also featured fan favourites Gabriela Dawson and Leslie Shay. Dawson left to to head a rescue-and-relief unit in Puerto Rico, while Shay left the series in the third season’s shocking premiere, a grim reminder of the harrowing situations that the characters must go through on a daily basis. But while Chicago Fire is a suspense-packed series, its central themes are ones founded on heroism, friendship, and loyalty.

Every season, Chicago Fire never fails to deliver compelling drama and action with new characters being introduced as the show progresses. One of the show’s edge-of-your-seat highlights includes season 5 finale when nearly every member of the Chicago Firehouse crew narrowly escaped death after finding themselves trapped in a warehouse fire. Meanwhile, the first episode of the new season 10 covers the aftermath of the capsized boat rescue, which served as last season’s epic cliffhanger.
