This ATP 1000 event in Paris, France is the last stop on the ATP tour before the end-of-season finals in Turin, Italy. Known as the Paris Masters, this tournament has been famed for throwing up a surprise or two since its inception in 1969. Novak Djokovic in his infinite tennis wisdom is the defending champion and record holder for most wins, having lifted the trophy at Accor Arena venue seven times before.

It’s the last chance to sure up a spot in the ATP Finals for all these players as well as being the last tour event on the ATP calendar. Carlos Alcaraz, the 19-year-old Spanish player, has no doubt been the most scintillating player throughout the year having made seven tournament finals, winning five of them. Which includes the US Open grand slam and the 1000 events in Madrid and Miami.

However, his compatriot, Rafael Nadal, is not far behind him in terms of ranking points for the year and has also enjoyed a stellar 2022. The acclaimed King of Clay picked up both the Australian and French Open grand slam titles, showing his prowess across multiple surfaces.

The full tournament (after the qualifying phases) will start on the 31st of October, with the session starting at 21:00 AEST with their ‘day’ session. Night sessions will also run on the indoor hard courts, for us starting at 05:30. This is a provisional schedule ruled by the tournament body. The Paris Masters final is currently set to take place on Sunday, November 6th at 10:30 pm AEST.

If you want to watch the matches live as they take place in the French capital you will need to do business with either  Kayo or Foxtel. Both of these operate a free trial period for new customers, so you needn’t part with any cash immediately.

Kayo offers a 7-day free trial, while Foxtel gives out 10 days of access to Foxtel Now. Given the tournament will run from the 31st of October to the 6th of November, if timed correctly, you could watch the entire indoors tournament for free!

After the trial period, however, there’s a good chance that you’ll not want to leave the service given the wealth of sports on offer. Kayo will cost you $25 per month but doesn’t have any kind of lock-in contract, meaning you can come and go when you please. Foxtel requires that you take out both the Sports Pack and the Essentials Pack, which cost $25 and $29 per month.

Both platforms do a great job of condensing the action in case you’ve not got the time to watch several hours of tennis. This comes in the form of multiple highlights packages which will give you a flavour of each match from this ATP Masters 1000 event.
