How To Get Discounted Telstra Movie Tickets
Discounted movie tickets are offered through Telstra’s loyalty rewards program, Telstra Plus.
If you’re already a Telstra customer, you can join the program using your Telstra ID, provided you’re over 18 years old, through the website or the Telstra app on your mobile. Telstra customers with an eligible business are also welcome to join, although enterprise and corporate customers aren’t qualified to register.
If you’re not a Telstra customer yet, check out Telstra’s NBN plans to get your Telstra ID. These broadband plans can also be paired with streaming apps such as BINGE, Foxtel Now, Kayo Sports, and other products like Telstra TV.
What Tiers Are Eligible for Telstra Plus Movie Tickets?
Telstra Plus is divided into four membership tiers: Member, Silver, Gold, and Business, and your tier will depend on how many points you’ve earned throughout the year. Fortunately, no matter which tier you’re on, you can put your points towards discounted movie tickets anyway.

Which Cinemas Offer Cheap Movie Tickets via Telstra Plus?
Telstra Plus members can purchase discounted movie tickets online for Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle, Village Cinema and Moonlight Cinemas in Australia. If you’re a movie buff, you’d save a great deal of cash getting Telstra movie tickets compared with paying for standard tickets.
It’s important to note that selected screenings aren’t included in the Telstra discounted movie tickets offer: Gold Class tickets, Premium Concept Seating, Special Events screenings (Chicks at the Flicks, Bring Your Baby, Film Festivals, Movie Marathons), and Alternate Content (TV series, exhibitions, opera and sport).
How Much Are Telstra Plus Movie Tickets?
With Telstra, discounted movie tickets start at $11.50 for kids, from $13.50 for standard, $15.50 for 3D and $16.50 for Vmax tickets. Telstra Plus members can also score $15.50 premium tickets at selected Village Cinemas. Ticket prices already include booking fees and GST; however, there’s a $3 extra fee after 5pm on Saturdays, as well as on public holidays.
If you’re looking to purchase gold-class tickets, they’re only available on Thursdays with a $3 surcharge on public holidays. Aside from the discounted movie tickets, you can also upgrade your medium Candy Bar Combo to a large one for free.
How to Get Telstra Movie Tickets?
To book discounted movie tickets via Telstra Plus, log in using your Telstra ID username. Once you’re signed in, search for the best movies you want to watch by cinema or title. After you’ve chosen your movie and session time, you’ll be redirected to the participating cinema’s website to finalise your purchase. Group bookings are allowed but only for a maximum of 10 tickets with applicable booking fees.
Aside from getting discounted Telstra Plus tickets for a cheaper movie session, Telstra Plus members are also eligible to get pre-sale tickets for concerts and art shows.
