Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale and The Flash’s Grant Gustin star in the new romantic comedy film, Puppy Love, which follows two singles whose first date turned out to be so awful they vow to never speak again.
But while their first meet-up didn’t lead to subsequent dates, their dogs, which they had brought with them, ended up having the time of their lives. Now the two fur parents who don’t really get along must make efforts to do so when they later discover that they’re going to be grandparents, sort of.

The new film was initially released last August via Amazon Freeve. Here in Australia, the movie is just about to arrive on 18 April, exclusively on Prime Video.
It’s just one of Amazon’s new movie releases, which include the Road House remake and Saltburn.

Puppy Love (2024) only streams on Prime Video, a streaming service that’s part of the larger Amazon Prime. New customers can test run the service for 30 days free. After that, the monthly plan is $9.99/month, or save a little with the annual plan at $79.

Nicole (Hale) and Max (Gustin) are absolutely polar opposites – Nicole is a party-goer while Max an introvert whose social anxiety is so bad he’s about to lose his job. Despite their obvious differences, they swipe right on each other thanks to their respective dog pics.
Meeting for the first time and bringing their dogs with them, their clashing personalities immediately take its toll. Their dogs, Chloe and Channing Tatum, however, get along so well that Chloe becomes pregnant.
Now Nicole and Max, who already dislike each other, must try to get along to co-parent the new puppies. As they spend more time, they realise that they can do more than getting along, but will their budding romance ever get far?
The movie is directed by Richard Alan Reid and Nick Fabiano. Reid co-wrote the screenplay with Greg Glienna, Peter Stass, Kirsten Guenther, and Dan Scheinkman.
