After starring in Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant last year, Jake Gyllenhaal stars in Amazon’s Road House remake as a former UFC fighter-turned roadhouse bouncer.
The original 1989 film that starred Patrick Swayze followed a roadhouse bouncer with a mysterious past, who ultimately became the town’s protector from a viciously corrupt businessman.
Gyllenhaal stars alongside Daniela Melchior (Fast X), Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die), and Jessica Williams (Fantastic Beasts). UFC superstar Conor McGregor, in his acting debut, also stars in the film and is set to clash with Gyllenhaal’s character, in and out of the ring.

Entering this world, however, paves the way for Dalton to come across dangerous figures in the town who’s not happy about the bouncer doing his job a little too well.
The new Road House movie is directed by Doug Liman, best known for directing some action blockbusters, including The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
