Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum showcase their screwball chemistry in the new adventure comedy, The Lost City. It follows romantic adventure author Loretta Sage, whose new book prompts an eccentric billionaire to find an ancient city’s lost treasure, which he kickstarts by kidnapping Sage. As a result, the cover model and the fictional hero featured in Sage’s novels, Alan Caprison, vows to rescue her and prove that he can be a hero in real life. He’s certified in CPR and Crossfit, after all. Plus he has snacks.

What’s in this Guide?

Sandra Bullock plays reclusive author Loretta Sage, who wrote several popular adventure novels featuring the fictional heroine, Dr. Angela Lovemore, and her romantic interest, Dash McMahon. To promote her new work, her publisher insists that she goes on a book tour with Alan Caprison, played by Channing Tatum, the handsome cover model for Dash.

Her latest story, The Lost City of D, turns out to be based on actual historic research she did with her late archaeologist husband. As such, she comes across billionaire Abigail Fairfax while on tour promoting her new novel. Fairfax, who is played by Daniel Radcliffe, believes that her new book can provide clues to the whereabouts of an ancient treasure, enlisting her help to locate it.

When Sage refuses to help, he kidnaps her instead. Watching this happen, Alan, who also harbours feelings for her, enlists former Navy SEAL Jack Trainer, played by Brad Pitt, to conduct a rescue – to hilarious results.
