After a successful first and second season set in Hawaii and Italy, respectively, the highly anticipated third season is bringing the afflictions of the rich and privileged using a paradise-like Thai backdrop, continuing the show’s penchant for sharp social commentary.

The White Lotus Season 3 is streaming in Australia starting Monday, 17 February 2025. You can watch it exclusively on Showcase available on Foxtel, Foxtel Now, and BINGE. When watching The White Lotus Season 3 on Foxtel, new episodes drop every Monday at 8.30pm.

While The White Lotus Season 2 aired for seven episodes, the new season will run for a bit longer this year with eight episodes streaming online weekly.

In Season 3, affluent guests check in at the luxurious White Lotus resort in Thailand, which also boasts a wellness program with elements of Eastern religion and spirituality that will make one “leave an entirely different person”. 

Creator Mike White’s vision, he consistently weaves a brilliant story every season that offers a satirical and funny look at rich people and their proclivity for excess while being oblivious to those they see beneath their grand social status. 

The first season, which highlighted money and class disparity, used a Hawaiian backdrop for a social satire about the rich with all events unfolding at the fictional White Lotus resort. The White Lotus Season 2, on the other hand, brought its shrewd material that centred on lust and greed to Sicily. 

As for the third season, with the series creator calling it “a supersized White Lotus”, satirical themes of health, wellness, death, and Eastern religion are integrated into its narrative. With such a broad concept, it serves as a rich tapestry to do a fourth season.

Every season of the show by Mike White features a new set of cast, with one or two original cast members from the first season making a reprisal.

The cast of The White Lotus Season 3 includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, and Michelle Monaghan playing three long-time friends on a fabulous girls trip who are super excited to be together after a long time. 

Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Sarah Catherine Hook, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Sam Nivola play members of an opulent family who seem to be looking to reconnect, while Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood play a couple.

As for the resort staff members, they are played by Blackpink’s Lisa, Lek Patravadi, and Tayme Thapthimthong. Natasha Rothwell also reprises her role as Belinda Lindsey from The White Lotus Season 1.

There are three seasons so far with the third instalment dropping in Australia on February 17, 2025. Even before the third season premiere, there are already talks of the show returning for another round, with Tokyo a possible setting for its next season.
