How to watch Alone: Frozen in Australia

Good news for hardcore fans of the adventure reality series, Alone, in Australia – History Channel expands its famous survival reality show with the release of two new spin-offs next month. One of these is Alone: Frozen, which features six former participants from past seasons.

While they’re no strangers to facing ordeals in the wilds, it’ll be more intense this time. The challenge? To survive the harsh winter of the North Atlantic and last for fifty days. And as per usual, each of them has to face the extreme challenge while dealing with the harsh weather of the wilderness – alone!

What’s in this Guide?

In Alone: Frozen, six survivors will be dropped in Labrador, Canada where they’ll attempt to last fifty days in the ferocious North Atlantic winter. More than being crowned as the ultimate survivalist, the winner also gets a $500,000 cash prize.

To begin, six of Alone’s strongest participants from the previous seasons will return to put their survival skills to the test – again. They’ll face extreme conditions worse than any previous season of the original series. Following Alone’s original premise, the participants will be given just a few supplies; hence, they must rely on their previous experiences to survive in the frozen wilds alone.

It will be interesting to see every strategy they’ll come up with to endure the frigid north Atlantic coast, and more importantly, avoid North America’s most fierce cold-weather predators!

Alone: The Skills Challenge

Alone: The Skills Challenge is another spin-off that’s set to air in Australia starting 28th August 2022. While Alone: Frozen has six survivalists, this particular series revolves around three former participants who’ll battle each other in creative build challenges devised by another former participant. The goal is to develop shelter in the wilderness with only basic tools available.

The survival build challenges devised by a fellow previous participant is one of the highlights of this spin-off, as well as what makes it different from the original show’s premise. Whoever of the three former Alone participants succeeds in creating a formidable shelter despite the lack of tools and supplies is named the ultimate winner. Of course, more than building a shelter in the wild, there’s still the matter of enduring and surviving.

Only one season of Alone: Frozen has been announced so far. Consisting of eight episodes, it is set to premiere in Australia on 7th August on Foxtel and on 12th August on BINGE. As of press time, History Channel still has yet to announce whether the upcoming reality series will return for a second season or not.

After the Alone: Frozen release date was confirmed, the spin-off of the famous reality series, Alone, debuted on Foxtel’s A&E channel on 7th August 2022, as well as on BINGE on 12th August 2022. New episodes streamed weekly during its run. It ended after eight episodes. Fortunately, you can watch all of them on demand. You can use the episode guide below to plan your viewing.
