The Good Fight was CBS All Access’ first original series before the platform turned into Paramount+. It serves as a spin-off to the acclaimed series The Good Wife and picks up one year after the events of the original drama. The show, which is also The Good Fight’s standalone sequel, revolves around Christine Baranski’s character Diane Lockhart and Cush Jumbo’s Lucca Quinn. The events in The Good Fight were set in motion after a massive financial scam ruins the reputation of young lawyer Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie). As her legal career hangs in the balance, the financial scandal also compromises her mentor and godmother, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), wiping out her entire savings.
Kicked out of their law firm, Lockhart, Deckler, Gussman, Lee, Lyman, Gilbert-Lurie, Kagan, Tannebaum, & Associates, they start anew by joining Diane’s former employee Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at Reddick, Boseman, & Kolstad.
Throughout the show, the women navigate the ever complex landscapes of seeking justice as they take on high-profile cases. With their reputations still tarnished, they also have to work twice as hard to regain the reputable names they once had. Leslie and Jumbo both departed the series after Seasons 3 and 4, respectively, with Baranski remaining as the show’s lead protagonist until the final sixth season.
In Season 6, we’re introduced to Andre Braugher’s Ri’Chard Lane, a new name partner installed at the firm. While his purpose is to transform the law firm for glory and profits, the lawyers of Reddick & Associates wonder if his arrival is doing more harm than good, as it appears that he’s stepping on a lot of toes.
Ultimately, name partner Liz discovers Ri’chard has an agenda of his own, although his character further unravels when, in the episode, “The End of a Saturday”, Ri’Chard’s nephew loses his bone marrow donor. Faced with big decisions and lethal choices, it’s up to his team at Reddick & Associates to save his life.

While the latest season has already aired in the US, Australian fans have yet to see the final sixth season of The Good Fight, until this month. After waiting for a long time, Paramount+ has finally confirmed that The Good Fight Season 6 is dropping on the service from Saturday, 10 June 2023. The 10-episode final season also drops at once, so fans can watch the final episode on the same day.
