Based on the autobiography of nightclub owner John Ibrahim and his experiences in Sydney’s Kings Cross, Last King of the Cross is an Australian drama that’s slated to premiere in February. The 10-part series chronicles John’s ascent to power, from being a struggling immigrant with no money and seemingly no chance of making it, to becoming Australia’s most infamous nightclub mogul in Sydney’s Kings Cross. However, his success in the cutthroat world of Kings Cross is not without colossal sacrifices and dire consequences.
A Paramount+ Australian original series, it stars local talent Lincoln Younes, Claude Jabbour, and Callan Mulvey, as well as Tim Roth who took over the lead antagonist role of Ezra Shipman from Ian McShane.

Last King of the Cross TV series preview
Infamous nightclub mogul John Ibrahim’s rise to wealth and power is the subject of Paramount+’s new original series, Last King of the Cross. From being a poverty- stricken immigrant to commanding his own nightclub in King Cross, a mini-Atlantic City, barely half a mile long but with endless possibilities, he makes personal sacrifices to ensure he retains his newfound influence.
Last King of the Cross is inspired by John Ibrahim’s best-selling autobiography of the same name, an operatic story of two brothers, Sam and John Ibrahim. They may have found a way to thrive in the streets of King Cross; however, they ultimately lose each other as power becomes a dangerous element in their relationship.
