No Escape is a thriller series now streaming on Paramount+ in Australia. Starring Abigail Lawrie (Tin Star) and Rhianne Barreto (The Outlaws), it follows two best friends running from their past lives in the UK and whose supposed refuge on a yacht turns into an inescapable ordeal.

What’s in this Guide?

In the original UK drama series based on Lucy Clarke’s best-selling novel The Blue, BAFTA Scotland Award winner Abigail Lawrie and Rhianne Barreto star as best friends Lana and Kitty.

Pursued by the UK police, the girls are constantly on the run until they finally find refuge on The Blue, a romantic yacht with an enigmatic crew sailing through South East Asia. But their sense of safety in their newfound haven becomes short-lived after discovering that The Blue has dark secrets of its own.

The streaming adaptation of Clarke’s novel has Hans Herbots as lead director (Cobra) and featuring Australian Kris Mrksa (White House Farm) as lead writer.

Filmed late last year in Thailand, No Escape also features an international cast that includes Jay Ryan (It Chapter Two), Sean Keenan (The Power of the Dog), and Susie Porter (Wentworth).
