March 16, 2024

A spin-off of the original MasterChef series, MasterChef: The Professionals features professional chefs competing for the grand title. As they showcase their talents by undergoing skills test, fans are treated to an exciting competition, and more importantly, a sumptuous display of dishes.

Now in its sixteenth season, join in the fun of watching professional chefs exhibit their talent and experience, all the while avoiding elimination. In Australia, fans can watch selected seasons of the reality series, including the latest MasterChef: The Professionals Season 16.

The new season of the cooking competition is set to premiere on Foxtel’s LifeStyle Food channel, which is also available on Foxtel Now.

Selected seasons are on BINGE, but the streamer has yet to announce season 16’s premiere. It’s likely BINGE will do a complete season drop just like the previous MasterChef: The Professional Season 15.

In this popular Masterchef spin-off, professional chefs from around the UK compete against each other in a series of challenges and invention tests to impress judges Marcus Wareing, Gregg Wallace, and Monica Galetti.

Gaining the judges’ favour by doing excellent work in the Masterchef kitchen only means they’ll make it to the succeeding rounds until they become semi-finalists. The three (or four) remaining chefs then participate in the quarter final, leading up to the most daunting moment of the competition – the Chef’s table.

In the latest MasterChef: The Professionals Season 16, 32 professionals from across the country battle to become the best of the best. Apart from performing their usual but tougher weekly challenges, the contestants have to go through the challenge of delivering a scene-stealing dish to impress UK’s leading food critics.

In the past, the celebrity chefs who have been featured in the program were Jay Rayner, William Sitwell, Leyla Kazim, Jimi Famurewa, and April Jackson.

So, who will be crowned Masterchef: The Professionals 2023 champion and join the show’s roster of popular winners, including Steve Groves, Adam Handling, Jamie Scott, Steven Edwards, Anton Piotrowski, and the latest winner Tom Hamblet?

You can watch the trailer of this spin-off here.

Monica Galetti returned as a judge for season 16, reuniting with Marcus Wareing and Gregg Wallace. Galetti was replaced by Anna Haugh in season 15.

Out of the 32 contestants, only four chefs can showcase their skills in front of culinary legends (guest chefs) at the Chef’s table during finals week.

Below are the complete list of contestants featured in the 2023 season.
