Don’t miss Moonflower Murders in Australia from 15 April! You can watch the trailer below.

Years after the events of Magpie Murders, Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville) is entangled in a baffling disappearance of a woman who was last seen in a country hotel. The missing woman’s parents believe it’s all related to Ryeland’s book. As the mystery deepens, a murder from eight years ago reappears, seemingly connected to why the woman vanished.

Ryeland also discovers shocking connections to the late Alan Conway’s novels, whose crime stories often provide unsettling truths. The farther the investigation takes her, the harder it is to distinguish fiction and reality, especially when she relies on the guidance of Atticus Pünd (Timothy McMullan), the protagonist in Conway’s crime novels.

Lesley Manville and Timothy McMullan reprise their roles as Susan Ryeland and Atticus Pünd, respectively. In addition, Daniel Mays (1917, Line of Duty) also returns as Locke / Chubb and Michael Maloney (Belfast, The Trial Of Christine Keeler) as Charles Clover. Game of Thrones actor Conleth Hill and Sherwood’s Claire Rushbrook also star.

Moonflower Murders is produced by BBC Studios, Eleventh Hour Films, and Masterpiece. Author Anthony Horowitz himself wrote the screenplay for the series and with the episodes directed by Rebecca Getward.
