A spin-off of the popular reality series, The Great British Bake Off, The Great British Sewing Bee offers its own charm by exhibiting the talents of amateur sewers from around the UK. With weekly rounds and challenges to complete, the contestants work on their sewing machine magic to impress the judges.

Just like Bake Off, the series gives three challenges (Pattern Challenge, Transformation Challenge, and Made-to-measure Challenge) and an overall theme in each episode. The contestant with the weakest creation is eliminated, while the remaining sewers proceed to the next round.

The Pattern Challenge is all about following the same pattern that the judges give them as accurately as possible. In the Transformation Challenge, sewers are given an identical existing garment to reinvent using their own ideas and designs. Lastly, the Made-to-measure Challenge requires the sewers to design and create their own garments, while ensuring that their patterns are adjusted perfectly to fit their models.

In the new The Great British Sewing Bee Season 10, twelve contestants are introduced. Once again, they undergo the above mentioned challenges each week to prove their knack for sewing and designing, impressing the fans and judges alike. Esme Young and Patrick Grant return as judges while Kiell Smith-Bynoe replaced Sara Pascoe as host for this season.

Expect spectacular creations, sewing room drama, and more thrilling moments as contestants work with their hearts racing to become Britain’s best home sewer.
