The Fall Guy: Streaming date and where to watch in Australia

The Fall Guy hit Australian theatres last April, but when will it be available for streaming?

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt star in what seems to be a wildly entertaining action comedy film, The Fall Guy, from the director of Bullet Train. It’s loosely based on the 1980s TV series of the same name

In the movie, Gosling stars as a veteran action choreographer returning from a one-year hiatus for a big studio movie, much to the chagrin of his ex-girlfriend and first-time director, played by Blunt.

When it becomes clear that a movie star’s disappearance sets a sinister scheme in motion, he must track down the missing actor fast and uncover a baffling conspiracy, all while trying to rekindle an old flame.

The Fall Guy movie arrived in Australian cinemas last 24 April 2024. Several months after its theatrical debut, the film finally makes its streaming premiere on BINGE and Foxtel on Saturday, 30 November.

On Foxtel, the new film airs at 8.30pm, then on demand on Foxtel Now.

In the film, Gosling plays Colt Seavers, a former stuntman forced to return after his much-needed break when Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the star he frequently doubled in movies, goes missing.

The new big studio movie that Tom is supposed to star in is being directed by Jody Moreno (Blunt), former camera operator turned director and also Colt’s ex-girlfriend. Their previous romance was cut short following Colt’s career-ending accident.

With a missing lead star, Jody’s first project as a director is in danger of being shelved. To save the production from being shut down, the always sensible stuntman who prefers stairs rather than jumping off a building when chased by real bad guys, must track down the missing actor. In doing so, he uncovers a conspiracy that started the whole thing.

The director of the film is stuntman turned filmmaker David Leitch, who already has topnotch action-packed movies under his belt – Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw, and Bullet Train. He also directed the first John Wick movie with Chad Stahelski, although only the latter was credited.
