The 2023 AFL finals season finally comes to a close on Saturday, the 30th of September, with a Grand Final battle between the Collingwood Magpies and Brisbane Lions.

Both sides are no strangers to Grand Final success. With a victory on Saturday the Magpies would win their sixteenth title, tying them with the Blues and Bombers for most ever. Likewise, the Lions are looking for the fourth Grand Final trophy in team history.

With so much history at stake, look for both sides to play their best footy of the season. Best of all, you won’t need to miss a minute of the action whether streaming the match to a mobile device or watching at home on TV. Likewise if you’re unable to watch the game in real-time, check out the replay options listed below.

The broadcast rights for the AFL Grand Final exclusively belong to Network Seven. Seven will carry the live TV programming on Channel 7, with the option to stream the Grand Final using the 7Plus app.

Compatible devices for streaming with 7Plus include the following: Web browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. Mobile iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices (both phones and tablets). Select models of Telstra TV, Fetch TV, Apple TV, Android TV, LG TV and Samsung TV. As well as PlayStation 4 and 5 and Chromecast.

This year’s AFL Grand Final will kick off at 2:30pm (AEST). The pre-game show will begin between 1:00pm – 1:30pm (AEST), while the half time entertainment should get underway sometime around 3:40pm (AEST).

The Grand Final itself should conclude just after 5:00pm (AEST) depending on the quarter-lengths.

Every AFL game consists of four 20-minute quarters, but penalties and other stoppages will extend the game time well beyond two hours. The Grand Final is generally one of the longest matches of the year.

The Seven Network has the exclusive rights for broadcasting the AFL Grand Final live in Australia. Full replays, however, will only be available to watch or stream on Fox Footy, which is carried by Foxtel, Foxtel Now, Telstra and Kayo Sports.

The replays will be available almost straight after the final whistle and there will be full game replays and on-demand “Minis”. The Mini replays are condensed 20 minutes of the best game action.
