After the successes of Love Me and Colin from Accounts, BINGE is back with another original, High Country. This time it’s a gripping mystery thriller that stars Wentworth’s Leah Purcell.
In this eight-part series, Purcell plays Detective Andrea Whitford, who, after being assigned to the Victorian High Country, takes on the puzzling case of five missing persons. Her investigation, however, thrusts her into a frightening new reality involving murder, revenge, and an intricate web of lies.

High Country (TV series) release date
The BINGE Original will premiere with two episodes on 19 March, with episodes rolling out weekly.
On Foxtel, episodes will air on Showcase at 8.30pm, then on demand on Foxtel Now.

What is the plot of High Country (TV series)?
This new BINGE Original is a mystery thriller that follows Detective Andie Whitford. After being transferred to the Victorian High Country, she becomes entangled in a high-stakes investigation involving five missing persons who have disappeared into the wilderness.
As her search for answers brings forth unsettling revelations, she is taken to an unfamiliar territory where murder, deceit, and revenge were lying in wait. But in untangling the mystery of those who have disappeared, Andie instead discovers her shocking connection to High Country.
The new series is created by Marcia Gardner and John Ridley with Wentworth director Kevin Carlin taking directorial duties for five of the episodes. Beck Cole (Deadloch), who also wrote one episode, directed the remaining three episodes.
