Fear the Walking Dead, the spin-off of the global hit The Walking Dead, returns for its much-awaited fourth season on Foxtel Now on April 16. The fan-favourite series will premiere for its new season express from the US on Monday, April 16 at 2:30 PM AEST. The Season 4 premiere will be ad-break, too, for fans’ ultimate viewing pleasure, exclusively on Foxtel’s showcase.
What will happen in Season 4?
The first episode of the new season will give what fans have been asking for since the beginning – the long-awaited crossover with its predecessor The Walking Dead. This will happen through Lennie James’ character Morgan Jones appearing in its storyline, finally connecting the two shows together.
In Fear the Walking Dead’s Season 4, viewers will witness how the characters from the two series crossed each others’ paths and how that will affect both their storyline’s direction. Their pasts easily collide with an uncertain, cataclysmic present. And the question of how long their struggle to survive will last – and what cost the the characters’ actions will have as their humanity ultimately gets lost in the fear and pandemonium as conflict rages between the living and the dead.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 4 airing schedule
Fear the Walking Dead is produced by AMC Studios – the same people behind The Walking Dead. Its Season 4 premieres on Monday, April 16, express from the US at 2:30 PM with an encore screening at 8:30 PM. Starting Monday, April 23, it will have its screen express at 1:30 PM and encore at 7:30 PM on Foxtel’s showcase while also available for streaming on Foxtel Now.
You can catch up on the previous seasons of Fear the Walking Dead via Foxtel On Demand on iQ set-top boxes with internet connectivity, as well as on Foxtel Now’s online streaming service. Seasons 1-3 will also screen weekends from April 1 at 8:30 AM on the Showcase channel, which means you won’t find Fear the Walking Dead free to air on Australian TV.

What to expect with Fear the Walking Dead Season 5
Even before season 4 ended, AMC already announced that there will be a fifth season for Fear the Walking Dead. With the movement among the show runners of Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead, and of the entire franchise, viewers can expect to see more synergy between the two zombie-filled shows.
With Morgan (Lennie James) from The Walking Dead series joining the Fear, not to mention the deaths of two characters from day one, Madison and Nick, there’s a lot of answers that need to be answered in season 5.
New characters from season 4 including John Dorie (Garret Dillahunt), Al (Maggie Grace), and Naomi (Jenna Elfman) will all return for the fifth season, which will air in 2019.
