The COBRA TV series is back for another gripping season with a premiere date in Australia already confirmed. Season 3 of the political thriller is titled ‘Rebellion’ and features the return of Robert Carlyle (Once Upon a Time) as UK Prime Minister Robert Sutherland.
The Sky Original follows a team of Britain’s leading experts spearheaded by the PM and his chief of staff during times of national crises. The emergency committee named ‘COBRA’ takes on the critical task of leading the nation’s response and solution to grave threats.
Faced with impossible decisions, the prime minister and the rest of the committee perform their duties and beyond to confront and neutralise a major crisis, all while managing their turbulent personal lives and avoiding further political turmoil.

What is the plot of COBRA: Rebellion?
Still reeling from the aftermath of the cyberattack that threatened his government, Prime Minister Sutherland’s leadership is once again tested when an environmental demonstration ends in fatal turmoil.
A controversial police-protest bill has also heavily impacted his popularity, sending his government to further uncertainty.
As the investigation into the protest deepens, the Prime Minister and the COBRA committee realises there’s more than meets the eye. Even more baffling for Sutherland is his daughter’s involvement in the demonstration, making this case into a personal matter.
As reasons and motivations start to unravel, the PM is forced to acknowledge the possibility of a rebellion within his own government. With danger and betrayal imminent, who can he really trust?
