The Crown Season 6 plot and cast

The final season of The Crown is amongst Netflix’s most-watched shows recently, with the first three episodes revolving around Princess Diana’s final summer.

The events leading to her shocking death are brought to our screens as we see the Princess of Wales boarding the Al-Fayed yacht in the South of France, then heading to the Ritz in Paris, and ultimately making her way into the Pont de l’Alma tunnel.

The fourth episode titled “Aftermath” covers the world’s reaction to her death and the way her life and death would later shape the royal family 26 years later.

Returning for new episodes, The Crown Season 6 continues to explore the Windsors, expected to portray events through to 2005. This will include the beginning of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship, as well as the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla.

The latest season of The Crown stars Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, while Jonathan Pryce plays Prince Philip. Lesley Manville stars as Princess Margaret, Dominic West portrays Prince Charles, and Olivia Williams plays Camilla Parker Bowles. Portraying Princess Diana in season 6 is Elizabeth Debicki.

In the second part of The Crown, we’ll also see older versions of William and Harry, played by Ed McVey and Luther Ford, respectively. Kate Middleton, the future Princess of Wales, will be portrayed by newcomer Meg Bellamy.
