What is The Ark TV series about?

Set 100 years in the future when Earth can no longer sustain life, the survival of the human race hinges on the success of colonising other habitable planets. One spacecraft with the mission to relocate people to their new home planet, Proxima b., is Ark One.

When a shocking catastrophe renders the ship unable to continue its journey and kills most of the would-be colonists, the remaining survivors must work together to complete their journey and reach their original destination. With the absence of leadership and the ship’s lack of supplies, this is easier said than done.

The Syfy original series is created by Independence Day writer and producer Dean Devlin and Stargate SG-1 executive producer Jonathan Glassner. Devlin also executive produced the show with Glassner, Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson, and Steve Lee.
