George Clooney and Julia Roberts prove that their on-screen chemistry is still one of the best there is in the new romantic comedy, Ticket to Paradise. Playing divorced couple David and Georgia Cotton, the two deeply regret getting married and what better way to show that than by constantly hating each other’s guts. Finally, they call a truce and decide to team up to achieve a common goal: sabotage their daughter’s relationship with a man she just met, and their planned wedding. But first they need to go to Bali.

What’s in this Guide?

After learning that their daughter is getting married in Indonesia and ditching her potential legal career to stay in Bali for good, two divorced parents embark on a plan to stop the wedding. Getting married young and regretting it big time, they believe they’re stopping their daughter from making the same mistake they did.

But stopping a wedding requires planning and planning requires spending more time together, sharing moments they never thought they’d have. In the process, the squabbling couple find themselves re-igniting old feelings that made them realise how perfect they were for each other, once.

Directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Ticket to Paradise is Julia Roberts and George Clooney’ recent collaboration after working together in the Ocean’s trilogy and Money Monster. Other cast members playing supporting roles include Kaitlyn Dever, Maxime Bouttier, Billie Lourd, and Lucas Bravo.

The film is a joint project between Working Title, Smokehouse Pictures, andRed Om Films. It’s also interesting to note that while the movie is set in Bali, it was filmed elsewhere. So, where was Ticket to Paradise filmed? It turns out that principal photography of the entire movie took place in Queensland, Australia, filmed across various locations including the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and The Palm Bay Resort on Long Island, among others.
