The Equalizer 3: TV release date and where to watch in Australia

Former government assassin Robert McCall is haunted by his violent past, but finds strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the weak and the oppressed, the very same vigilante action and sentiment we saw in the first two movies. But being thrust into a world of crime despite his yearning for a quiet life has him wanting to get away again.

This time, he moves to Southern Italy. But just as he thinks he could start anew, he learns that the community he’s grown to love is controlled by the mafia. Now channeling his unstoppable wrath towards soulless criminals, he becomes his new friends’ protector by taking on any thugs who come to harm them.

The third and final film in The Equalizer trilogy, The Equalizer 3 will be soon available on several Australian subscription streaming services.

Following its theatrical run, The Equalizer 3 first became available on streaming via pay per view with Sony Pictures releasing the film on digital platforms.

After the digital release, the new film will then premiere on subscription services, which we’ve now confirmed to happen on Foxtel, Foxtel Now, BINGE, and Amazon Prime Video.

After all the horrific things he’s done and seen in the past, McCall (Denzel Washington) struggles to reconcile with his former life, prompting him to move to Southern Italy.

Meeting new friends and beginning to belong to their community, he surprisingly finds himself at peace. That is until he discovers that all the lovely people he’s grown to like are under the control of local crime bosses.

Naturally, the retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer resists and fights back; and when he does, he does so in the quickest and most excruciating way. As events turn deadly, McCall knows there’s only one way to protect the people he cares about: not hold back from his true self.

The latest film is the final chapter in the franchise with director Antoine Fuqua returning to work with his frequent collaborator Denzel Washington. Dakota Fanning also joins the main cast, reuniting with Washington nearly 20 years after starring together in 2004’s Man on Fire.
