★★★★★4/5
Quiz Lady is a charming film that successfully intertwines comedy with heartfelt moments. The narrative centres around Anne, played brilliantly by the talented lead, whose obsession with gameshows leads her on a chaotic adventure with her estranged sister Jenny. The film's direction captures the essence of sibling rivalry and reconciliation, leaving viewers both entertained and emotionally invested. The chemistry between the two leads is palpable, enhancing the film's comedic timing and emotional weight. While the plot may tread familiar territory, it does so with a refreshing take that explores deeper themes of family and redemption. The pacing is brisk, and the humour is sharp, making it an enjoyable watch for audiences of all ages. Overall, Quiz Lady is a delightful film that offers a mix of laughs and life lessons, making it well worth your time.

★★★★★3/5
Quiz Lady is a quirky comedy that puts a fun spin on the classic road trip genre. It follows Anne and Jenny, two sisters with a complicated past, as they embark on a wild journey to save their mother from financial ruin. While the premise is entertaining, the film sometimes feels like it’s trying too hard to be quirky, leading to uneven pacing and occasional predictability. The performances, particularly from the leads, are commendable, bringing a certain charm to their roles. However, the film's reliance on gameshow tropes can feel a bit overdone. It’s a light watch, perfect for a lazy afternoon, but don’t expect groundbreaking storytelling. In the end, Quiz Lady delivers a few laughs and some touching moments, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark as a memorable film.
