The great thing about the NBN is the way it gives all providers the opportunity to run their own broadband service their way. That way, they can cater to specific groups of customers. The days of having to go with “one of the big five” to get your broadband connection are well and truly over. That’s a good thing. It not only means real competition for customers based on features, price or speed, but also allows the more imaginative companies to come into the mix. Like Flip TV.
You may not be familiar with the name. If you are, it’s likely thanks to their IPTV service, which has been running for a few years. Through a very tiny set top box, Flip TV provides live streaming access to a range of channels that regular free-to-air and pay TV simply does not offer, with the real treat being with the telco’s international TV packages.
Foxtel’s NBN & ADSL Plans for Existing Customers
Foxtel broadband bundles comes in two distinct flavours – one for existing customers and one for those getting Foxtel connected for the first time.
Current Foxtel subscribers can bundle an unlimited-data ADSL broadband or NBN service with unlimited standard local and national calls for $75 a month. At the other end of the spectrum, Foxtel Platinum HD subscribers can get this same offer for only $65.
These costs are the same on both ADSL and NBN packages, with the NBN option offering customers the chance to adjust their speed tier from 50/20 to up to 100/40. This requires an additional payment per month, which depends on the package chosen.
