Bookie is an eight-part comedy series created by Lorre and Nick Bakay, which revolves around long-time Los Angeles bookie Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco) and his clients. With sports gambling on its way to becoming legal, it’s clear that his primary hustle is on the verge of dissolution.

Not only does his business might be gone for good, Danny must also deal with a lot of unstable clients and settle their debts. Fortunately, he has some people around to stay with him through thick and thin – his best friend and ex-NFL player Ray (Omar J. Dorsey), sharp-witted sister Lorraine (Vanessa Ferlito), and former drug dealer Hector (Jorge Garcia).

Charlie Sheen also joins the cast and plays one of Danny’s clients. This also marks Sheen reuniting with Lorre for the first time after his controversial departure from Two and a Half Men, where he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher.

Bookie is produced by Warner Bros. Television, created, written and produced by Lorre and Bakay; executive produced by Maniscalco, Judi Marmel and Andy Tennant, who directed multiple episodes.
