A new space adventure is coming with Skeleton Crew, a sci-fi series set in the vast Star Wars universe created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, best known for their collaboration in Marvel’s Spider-Man movies.

This new series from Disney+ follows four kids who, after coming across a shocking discovery on their planet, are catapulted into space, literally. Unable to return home, because, hello, a massive galaxy to get lost in, they instead embark on an adventure, all while overcoming troubles one might get from roaming around different planets.

Premiering on streaming TV a day earlier than its original schedule, here’s everything to know about the latest Star Wars series, including new release date, plot, cast, and more.

Skeleton Crew premieres in Australia on Tuesday, 3 December, one day earlier than its initial 4 December debut. The rest of the eight-episode series, however, will be released according to the original schedule, with new episodes streaming weekly on Wednesdays.

Four regular kids are set to experience the adventure of a lifetime after finding themselves lost in the Star Wars galaxy. Returning to their home planet, clearly, is not an easy feat, which means they need to rely on their wit, resourcefulness, and even their penchant for trouble, AKA curiosity, to make it home.

But first things first — they need help. Enter, Jod Na Nawood, played by Jude Law, a user of the legendary The Force who eventually becomes their sort of guardian while scrambling in the perpetual galaxy.

Skeleton Crew takes place in the same time frame as The Mandalorian and its affiliated spin-offs, right after the events of 1983’s Return of the Jedi. The series is created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, who also executive produced the show with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
