Set in 1930s Oklahoma during the region’s devastating dust storms, a mother, Margaret (Sarah Paulson) stays at home with her two daughters while her husband searches for work.

As she tends to their meager farm all alone while struggling to survive with her children, she becomes convinced that there’s a sinister presence who intends to hurt them.

Her daughters Rose (Amiah Miller) and Ollie (Alona Jane Robbins), attribute the mysterious presence to the Grey Man, a shadowy figure in a horror fable seeping into people’s homes, who then unknowingly breathes him in like dust and do horrible things at his bidding. The presence turns out to be a mysterious stranger played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear).

Left alone to survive and protect her children, Margaret finds herself taking extraordinary measures to beat the menacing shadowy figure and save her family.

The film is written by Karrie Crouse, who also directed the movie alongside Will Joines. Alix Madigan-Yorkin and Lucas Joaquin serve as the film’s producers.
