Paramount+ has been creating well-made originals with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan at the helm. The collaboration has brought us critics and fan-favourites 1883 and 1923, both Yellowstone prequels, the Sylvester Stallone-starrer Tulsa King, and the ensemble show Special Ops: Lioness.

What is the plot of Landman TV series?
Based on the podcast “Boomtown”, Paramount+’s new series follows roughnecks and billionaires as they take advantage of the booming world of oil rigs in West Texas.
“A modern-day tale of fortune seeking” in a highly dangerous undertaking, the story centres on Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a crisis executive at an oil company.
In exchange for the massive profits are tragedies and the fact that an oil boom so big is transforming the economy, the geopolitics, and even the world’s climate.
Landman is created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace based on the popular podcast series, “Boomtown”, which Wallace hosted. Wallace himself worked as a roughneck on drilling rigs.
