Talk To Me, a new spine-chilling Australian horror film from A24, finally hits streaming after its box office success during theatrical run. Directed by YouTube stars Danny and Michael Philippou in their feature film debut, the movie follows a group of teenagers messing around with a mysterious embalmed hand to conjure spirits. Of course, things go horribly wrong.

What’s in this Guide?

A group of friends discover how to commune with spirits using an embalmed hand of mysterious origin. Uttering “talk to me” and “I let you in” afterwards, the practice seemed to work as Mia (Sophie Wilde), the first one to volunteer, became possessed. However, possession, as it turns out, has euphoric effects, convincing the group to have another go. Mia becomes the most fascinated.

When the spirit of her mother, who passed away two years earlier possessed her best friend’s younger brother, she ignores the ‘game’s Number 1 rule: to sever the connection before ninety seconds. As bad as consequences go, her desperation to communicate with a loved one unleashes terrifying supernatural forces that will be impossible to undo.

Directed by the Philippou brothers, creator of the comedy horror YouTube channel RackaRacka, the horror movie is bolstered by impressive practical effects and a simple yet gripping story that delivers a solid, new thrill. Danny Philippou co-wrote the script with Bill Hinzman.
