How to watch Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators in Australia

December 6, 2022

It’s suffice to say that the events that led Frank Hathaway to cross paths with Luella Shakespeare are not in the best of circumstances. But however insane everything was that set the stage for their meeting, it still ends with the foundation of a quirky detective agency nobody thinks they’ll ever need, but they still sort of do in the end.

And so, Shakespeare and Hathaway team up to solve mysterious cases by resorting to ways that the police usually frown upon, making this oddball duo always fun to watch. Fortunately, the mystery comedy series is available to stream in Australia. Find out how with this guide.

Private detectives named Luella Shakespeare and Frank Hathaway investigate crime in Stratford upon-Avon, cracking mysterious cases using their natural knack for digging the past and uncovering shocking secrets. Ultimately, the unlikely pair form a unique partnership that only gets stronger as they go through bizarre things together.

So how did this oddball couple of private investigators start doing what they’re now good at doing? It all began when Lu Shakespeare suspected her fiancé of cheating, leading her to hire Frank despite his floundering detective agency. The fiancé was revealed to be a conman, then ended up getting killed with Lu becoming the prime murder suspect. Helping her clear her name was none other than Frank.

Four seasons in and the TV series still reels in its viewers for its perfect blend of intriguing mystery, hilarious characters, and comical scenarios they often end up getting themselves into. In the new Season 4, fans are treated to notable guest stars that include Danny John-Jules (Death in Paradise), Leila Mimmack (Doctors), Jamie Glover (Agatha Raisin), Caroline O’Neill (Endeavour), and many more.
