Doctor Who is BBC’s all-time favourite science fiction series since 1963. The longest-running sci-fi television show in the world with the classic collection running until 1989, it was revived in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston playing the Ninth Doctor.

It follows the space and time adventures of a Time Lord, a human-like extra-terrestrial being called the Doctor. Throughout the years, the Doctor reincarnates in different personas and explores the universe aboard the time-travelling spaceship called TARDIS to face terrifying forces and solve problems on Earth.

If you’re a huge Doctor Who fan, you can find out how to watch the entire Doctor Who 2005 collection on streaming. This includes David Tennant’s as the Fourteenth Doctor in special episodes and the premiere of Doctor Who Season 15 with Ncuti Gatwa returning as the Fifteenth Doctor.

In the Doctor Who 2023 specials, David Tennant and Catherine Tate returned as the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble, respectively. They were featured in three special episodes to mark Doctor Who‘s 60th anniversary.

After these TV specials, fans were again treated to a Christmas episode titled “The Church on Ruby Road”, introducing Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor.

Unlike previous Doctor Who seasons, which streamed on BritBox entirely including the classics, Disney Plus is the new home of the franchise in Australia after securing a deal with the BBC.

Disney Plus will feature new episodes only. For Doctor Who fans looking to watch prior seasons, seasons 1-13 are currently available to stream on Stan, while selected seasons are on Prime Video.

Doctor Who Season 15 premiered on 12 April 2025 on Disney+ in Australia, with episodes streaming weekly.

Doctor Who is one of the best British sci-fi programs broadcast by the BBC. Airing since 1963, it follows the adventures of a rogue Time Lord with unknown origins who goes by the name of “The Doctor”.

The Doctor is an alien adventurer who escaped from his home planet Gallifrey in a stolen TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). A time-travelling space ship, it takes on the appearance of local objects as a disguise. Due to a malfunction, Doctor’s TARDIS remains fixed as a blue British police box.

To celebrate Doctor Who‘s 60th anniversary, the BBC brought three special episodes with David Tennant returning as the Fourteenth Doctor. Her companion Donna Noble also joined him in a series of cosmic adventures as they navigate worlds previously unknown to us through space and time.

In Doctor Who Season 15, The Fifteenth Doctor (Gatwa) returns with his companion Ruby Sunday, played by (Millie Gibson). Together, they embark on incredible adventures crossing time and space courtesy of TARDIS.

The new Doctor Who comes from Bad Wolf with BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television and BBC.
