The show revolves around intense friendships, with Season 1 following the story of two teenage girls in the mid-1990s. Amidst the disappearance of one girl and the other seemingly taking her place, the lives of everyone involved are forever changed. Season 2, set in the early 2000s, takes us to an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest. Dark secrets, illicit tapes, and toxic romances come to light, making this season a gripping game of cat and mouse for the detectives trying to uncover the truth.
Through three different timelines surrounding the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship, this season tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke Chambers.
Amongst them, a love triangle blossoms as the crew approaches senior year, adding to the intrigue that will have a lasting impact on all of their lives as they move forward.
It all began in the summer of 1999 when young girls Megan and exchange student Isabella forge a strong bond, with Megan’s best friend Luke welcoming her in the group.
