The Boys Season 3 preview
The Boys Season 3 exposes more conspiracies involving corrupt superheroes and the bureaucrats that support them. After that mind-blowing (again, literally) finale where it was revealed that congresswoman Victoria Neuman is so much more than she let on, fans can only expect more twists and turns, especially since Hughie ends up working with her.
New characters will also be introduced in the third season, starting with Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), the original celebrity superhero who fought in World War II. Soldier Boy is believed to be the satirical version of Captain America. Joining Soldier Boy are Little Nina (Katia Winter) and Gunpowder (Sean Patrick Flanery). Also, Revenge actor Nick Wechsler will play Blue Hawk, and Nancy Drew’s Miles Gaston Villanueva will portray Supersonic, Starlight’s ex and a member of the superhero team, Payback.
The first episode of season 3 is titled ‘Payback’, a reference to the superhero team, Payback, adapted from The Boys comics series of the same name, the very same group that’s headed by Soldier Boy. From these details, it’s only fair to assume that the sup’ team will have a major role to play in The Boys season 3.
It’s interesting how all this will play out in the new season, especially since showrunner Eric Kripke doesn’t seem to run out of cool tricks. Prime Video has also just announced that the third season of the action series, which consists of eight episodes, will premiere with three episodes on 3rd June 2022 with the subsequent episodes to launch weekly.
