Winning the Logies for Most Outstanding Comedy last year, Colin from Accounts starring Patrick Brammall (No Activity) and Harriet Dyer (Wakefield) is back for a brand new season this month.

Following two people whose lives are changed forever after they’re brought together by a car accident and an injured dog, BINGE’s original series is a rom-com with a big heart.

The acclaimed first season was filled with hilarious antics and charming sentiments, which we can all expect to continue with Ashley and Gordon returning with more relatable chaos and relationship mishaps.

What’s in this Guide?

The highly anticipated second season of Colin from Accounts will screen on BINGE and Foxtel (including Foxtel Now). BINGE renewed the show for another instalment after winning several awards in 2023, including the Logies for Most Outstanding Comedy Program.

Ahead of season 2, you can still stream episodes from the first season if you’re in need of a refresher.

Outside Australia and New Zealand, the series is distributed by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group, with major production funding from Screen Australia and support from Screen NSW. In the US, Colin from Accounts is available on Paramount+.

After being renewed last August 2023, Colin from Accounts Season 2 will finally stream on BINGE and Foxtel beginning May 30, 2024.

The much-loved Aussie rom-com debuted on December 1, 2022 and has since become one of BINGE’s most-watched shows. It earned wider recognition after becoming a big winner at the 63rd Logie Awards.

We’ve yet to know the number of episodes for season 2, although it’s worth noting that the first season consisted of eight. BINGE also confirmed that the new Colin from Accounts episodes will air weekly, unlike the first season’s one-day drop.

Colin from Accounts tells the story of Ashley (Dyer) and Gordon (Brammall), two single, complex humans whose fates are intertwined when Ashley decides to flash Gordon. When a stray dog idly walking by and minding his own business gets hit as a result, their supposed-to-be fleeting encounter becomes something else.

Now they have to navigate life together with their party loving friends as they care for the dog, and while love stories don’t typically start that way, the funny and interesting ones do. Before they know it, Ashley is buying new furniture after making a mess in Gordon’s sock drawer.

But their story is one that’s pure chaos – endlessly and hilariously. There’s the awkward sexual encounter, the accidental dirty pic, and many more mishaps that are as outrageous as they are relatable.

In season 2, we’ll see Ash and Gordon living together after their original plan to go their separate ways didn’t pan out, mainly because they didn’t want to. But with their beloved, special needs dog Colin having new owners, our favourite on and off-screen couple will have to get him back.

It won’t be easy, for sure, but seeing that it’s Ash and Gordon, they will find a way. It’s just the first in a series of challenges for the new couple, who will also have to get to know each other more as they take their romance to the next level.

Foxtel Group commissioned the series, with Rob Gibson and Ian Collie producing for Easy Tiger productions alongside CBS Studios. Trent O’Donnell returns as set-up director, with Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope in-charge of three episodes. Madeleine Dyer also returns to direct an episode.

Brammall, Dyer and O’Donnell also serve as executive producers, along with BINGE executive director Alison Hurbert-Burns and Foxtel Group’s Head of Scripted Originals Lana Greenhalgh. Kevin Greene serves as the series producer.

After the success of their debut original series, Love Me, BINGE intends to provide more top quality Australian-made content and the series winning the Logies for Most Outstanding Comedy makes it clear that Colin from Accounts is a worthwhile watch. Brammall and Dyer also won the Logies for Most Outstanding Actor and Most Outstanding Actress, respectively.

Yes! Finally, BINGE has just released the trailer for the new season. Watch it right here.

Colin from Accounts is bolstered by its local talent led by Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer. The new comedy also stars Helen Thomson (Elvis), Emma Harvie (Frayed), Genevieve Hegney (Young Rock), Michael Logo (Love Me), and Tai Hara (Home And Away).
