Jenna Coleman (Serpent) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) star as a couple in a twisted love story in Amazon’s new thriller series, Wilderness. After one of them is forced to confront a life-shattering betrayal, their romance quickly descends into a nightmarish new reality that has them both grappling for survival. Ahead of its debut in Australia, here’s everything you need to know about the new UK thriller.

What’s in this Guide?

Liv (Coleman) and Will (Jackson-Cohen) already have it all – a couple in love and living their glamorous new life in New York; that is until Liv learns of Will’s infidelity. When he suggests going on a road trip in an attempt to reconcile, Liv accepts. As a young girl, she fantasised exploring America’s epic national parks, from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon and Yosemite.

While Will thinks that giving Liz her dream holiday may be enough to make amends, the latter thinks otherwise and schemes plans of her own. Her heartbreak has since turned into rage and now she’s consumed by her primal need for vengeance. Unbeknownst to Will, she has arranged for him three challenges to prove his sincerity. He’ll need to comply and succeed to earn her forgiveness.

But what if he fails? Liz believes that surviving her challenges is the only way to save their marriage. If their marriage dies, so should her husband. And that’s what the dangers of wilderness are for.

Based on by B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, Wilderness is directed by So Yong Kim from a screenplay by Marnie Dickens. The series is produced by Firebird Pictures alongside Amazon Studios, executive produced by Dickens and Kim with Elizabeth Kilgarriff.
