Three strangers obsessed with true crime who live in the same apartment building — Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), Mabel (Selena Gomez) — suddenly find themselves involved in one.

When a grisly death occurs inside their building, they decide to take the investigation into their own hands, working together to solve their neighbour’s mysterious death via their own true crime podcast named “Only Murders in the Building”. Of course.

While the trio’s investigative work ultimately leads to the shocking truth, unveiling mysteries only results in bigger questions, and even new murders, which Charles, Mabel, and Oliver’s true crime podcast is set to unravel, one murder case at a time. Season 4 won’t be any different, especially with the Only Murders in the Building Season 3 cliffhanger ending.

So what happens in Season 4? Following the shocking murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), Charles’ friend and stunt double from Brazzos, at the end of Season 3, the trio wrestles with the nagging question: who was the gunman’s actual target? Was it Sazz or Charles?

Their investigation is cut short when Hollywood comes calling; apparently a studio is interested in making a movie about their podcast. From Los Angeles the trio then finds themselves back at The Arconia, where the residents’ twisted lives continue being the source of intrigue and crime mysteries.

Only Murders in the Building is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who also serve as executive producers alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal.
