Season 4 of the Grace TV series features the return of John Simm as Roy Grace, a troubled detective who’s always drawn into his every baffling case. 

Based on Peter James’ bestselling Roy Grace novels and adapted for television by Endeavour writer Russell Lewis, Grace follows the titular character and his unconventional ways of solving crimes.

The disappearance of his wife is a recurring mystery and source of Throughout the series, Grace is haunted by the disappearance of his wife, a devastating event that has since haunted his character. 

Grace Season 4 will be streaming in Australia exclusively on BritBox. Prior seasons of the ITV series are also available to watch on demand on BritBox.

You can watch the new season of the Grace TV series in Australia on Tuesday, 2 July 2024, with new episodes streaming weekly on BritBox.

Roy Grace (Simm) is a Brighton-based detective whose wife disappeared several years ago. Struggling with the devastating truth that she may never come back, he devotes his time taking on cold cases.

His unorthodox approach to solving crimes also puts his career at risk, although his superiors and colleagues eventually realise his methods actually bring in results. 

In Grace Season 1,  Grace investigates the disappearance of a Brighton property developer with his colleague, Detective Sergeant Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell). Now in its fourth season, we’ll find Grace and Branson investigating a vicious robbery case at an isolated Brighton home. 

The robbers took thousands of pounds worth of antiques but as they delve deeper into the case, they discover it is more puzzling than it actually seems. Before they know it, they are taken to a dark, murderous trail in which they need to navigate the surreptitiously dangerous  world of Brighton antiques. 

The Grace TV series is penned by acclaimed screenwriter Russell Lewis for ITV and directed by John Alexander and Julia Ford.

The cast of the Grace series is headlined by John Simm as the titular character, while Richie Campbell plays his partner Detective Sergeant Glenn Branson. 

After Grace TV series Season 3, it has been announced that main cast members Rakie Ayola, who played Assistant Chief Constable Alison Vosper, won’t be returning for season 4.

There are four seasons of the Grace television series as of this writing, with the latest Season 4 just about to premiere in Australia from July 2.
