DC Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 TV Preview

This new season of DC Legends of Tomorrow is set in the Arrowverse, to keep continuity with other DC shows and spin-offs. So that fans can stay up to date on the storyline the production team have created a special one off episode, Crisis On Infinite Earths, based on the comic in the same name that depicts the transition between Elseworlds and the Arrowverse.

This new seasons definitely has a darker, grittier edge that moves slightly away from the feel good factor of previous storylines, although long term followers won’t be disappointed. The show also features plenty of DC favourites such as White Canary, Atom, Gideon and Nora Darhk.

Starring Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Caity Lotz (Death Valley), Tala Ashe (Smash) and Jes Macallan (Mistresses), the much anticipated DC Legends of Tomorrow TV series is now streaming in Australia and using the information in this guide you won’t have to miss a key moment.

Batwoman

Batwoman (Foxtel)

Batwoman is the alter-ego of Kate Kane, the daughter of Jacob Kane, who many DC comic book fans will recognise from his military company, Crows Private Security. Kate realises that in order to save the city, she must become something that her father hates, a heroic vigilante fighting for good. In this first series, we don’t just discover how Kate becomes Batwoman, we also see how she works alongside other Justice League members such as Superman, Supergirl and Flash. Pennyworth

Pennyworth (Foxtel / BINGE)

Have you ever wondered what Alfred, Batman’s trusty servant, got up to before Bruce Wayne came along? These 10 episodes set in a dystopian version of 60s London explore just that, shining a light on Mr Alfred Pennyworth, a young man with links to the British Special Air Service. He works the doors of London nightclubs, and for such a well-spoken, handsome gentleman, he isn’t shy of the odd bit of violence. Pennyworth even crosses paths regularly with Thomas Wayne, Batman’s father. Catch Pennyworth season 1 now streaming on demand only on Foxtel and Foxtel Now.

Watchmen

Watchmen (Foxtel / BINGE)

When Alan Moore (V For Vendetta, Swamp Thing) first created Watchmen, he could never have imagined that the comics would first be created into a successful film and now a TV series. Although not directly based on the original story, this 10 episode season has plenty of references to previous characters that should appease seasoned fans. The story centres on rising racial tensions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a white supremacist group hell-bent on killing police, so much so that officers choose to wear masks to cover their identities. Catch Watchmen season 1 now streaming on demand only on Foxtel and Foxtel Now.
