Sixth-grader Liam Turner (Robert Timothy Smith) is a shy and dyslexic boy who wants nothing else for Christmas but for things to get better for him and his family. He decides to write Santa his Christmas wish list, but a misspelling brings someone instead — Satan!

Played by Jack Black, the devilish “Santa” pretends he’s the real deal, but really wants to ruin everybody’s holidays just for fun. He offers to give Liam three wishes, only he demands his soul in return.

As their unlikely friendship blossoms, Satan allows the boy to make unselfish wishes, complicating things for the conflicted demon, who’s now beginning to enjoy the whole spirit of Christmas.

The movie is directed by Bobby Farrelly from a screenplay written by Ricky Blitt and Peter Farrelly. In addition to Black and Smith, the dynamic cast also includes comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Ben Stiller, as well as Post Malone making an appearance as himself.
