In telecommunication, a Bridge refers to a network device that is used to connect multiple network segments together. If one of those segments is a wireless network, it is called wireless bridging.

This home network can be connected to the rest of the Internet via a bridge. Alternatively, a bridge can be used to link two or more access points to extend the home LAN.
