Is there Endeavour Season 10?

Series creator Russell Lewis confirmed that there will be no Endeavour Season 10. Despite the show’s continuous popularity, the writer stated that it felt right to conclude Endeavour Morse’s story after nine seasons.

To stream the new ninth series in Australia, BritBox will screen every new episode from June 6.

BritBox Australia’s catalogue of shows also include more ITV titles with the likes of  Vera, Unforgotten, Midsomer Murders, Sanditon, and more available to stream instantly.

More than third-party series and movies, BritBox also grows its original programming – latest originals include Archie, Three Little Birds, Magpie Murders, Crime, Murder in Provence, and Hotel Portofino.

Thinking of giving the service a try? BritBox Australia still offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. After that, there’s only one streaming tier plan to sign up for, priced at $9.99 per month or $99.99 yearly.

There’s already 4K streaming on BritBox, although it’s only supported for selected devices, including Samsung smart TVs with 4K and the new Telstra TV.

Users can do concurrent streaming on the BritBox app for up to four devices.

First set in the 1960s, we see the young Endeavour Morse leaving Oxford College and spending some time in the British army before becoming a police constable. Over the course of time, the young detective constable rises through the ranks with the Oxford City Police and later with the Thames Valley Police.

Disillusioned with law enforcement, he initially thought of quitting but DI Fred Thursday (Roger Allam) saw something in him that the veteran detective perceived to be rare in the field – Morse’s knack for solving complex crimes and his trustworthiness. He was made Thursday’s assistant afterwards, replacing a corrupt detective sergeant.

As he proves to be brilliant and efficient in his work, he’s made some enemies within the force, with some even trying to sabotage his career. Despite some setbacks, he was still promoted to detective sergeant after helping avert disaster at a nuclear power plant.

The stakes are higher in Endeavour Season 9 as the story comes to its natural conclusion, finally depicting how Inspector Morse developed into his iconic character in the Morse series.

Endeavour TV series was created by Russell Lewis based on characters created by Colin Dexter. Dan McCulloch serves as the show’s producer.
