How to watch Swimming with Sharks in Australia

The Swimming with Sharks TV series, a new psychological drama that follows a young female assistant trying to survive a toxic boss and a cutthroat industry, is streaming this month in Australia. Inspired by the 1994 film of the same name, it stars Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Diane Kruger (Troy, Inglourious Basterds) playing an intriguing employee-employer dynamic. Their relationship and the events surrounding them eventually turn darker as the seemingly naïve newcomer is more cunning than she lets on.

The upcoming series debuts soon in Australia and using this guide you can find out where and how you can watch episodes for free.

What’s in this Guide?

Partly based on the 1994 film of the same name starring Kevin Spacey, Swimming with Sharks follows Lou Simms, a Hollywood newcomer. She lands what she thought to be an exciting and glamorous career after getting an internship for Joyce Holt, the head of a fictional Hollywood studio, Fountain Pictures.

However, Holt is a viciously daunting force in the business and trying to make it big in a studio filled with manipulators only means that Lou needs to step up her game – even if that means getting blood on her hands. When Travis, one of Joyce’s assistants, digs into Lou’s past, he discovers troubling secrets and darker deeds. And as it turns out, Lou knows her way around schemes and manipulations.

More than introducing a gripping narrative where an obvious ‘predator’ preys on the small and the weak, only for the ‘prey’ to unveil herself even more vicious, Swimming with Sharks also tackles the brutal and exploitative side of the Hollywood studio system and the Hollywood executives that propagate its cruelty.

Swimming with Sharks is created by Kathleen Robertson based on the movie of the same name directed by George Huang. Robertson also serves as an executive producer alongside Chris Cowles, Jay Cohen, Stephen Israel, Dana Brunetti, and Elizabeth Destro.
