Insecure’s two female protagonists, Issa and Molly, have been best friends since their college days at Stanford. Molly is a successful lawyer who’s having a hard time finding Mr. Perfect and dating men becomes a tricky road to navigate, while Issa works for a non-profit company and is struggling to reconnect with her long-term boyfriend, Martin (Jay Ellis).
As the series progresses, the two twenty-somethings work their way around career and relationship experiences.
