The Test, a documentary series that first debuted in 2020, follows the Australian men’s cricket team as they slowly rebuild their reputation following the cheating scandal that rocked the cricket world in 2018. Eighteen months after the controversy, the docu-series also examines the team’s dynamics with new captain Tim Paine and head coach Justin Langer at the helm.

When is The Test Season 3 coming out? You can stream new episodes from the latest season on 24 May.
Amazon has yet to confirm the number of episodes for the new instalment, although it’s worth noting that season 1 had eight episodes while The Test Season 2 had only four.
Just like prior seasons, season 3 is likely to drop on Prime Video at once.

The new season of The Test documentary will only stream on Prime Video, a streaming service that’s part of the larger Amazon Prime. New customers can test run the service for 30 days free. After that, the monthly plan is $9.99/month, or save a little with the annual plan at $79.
In addition to offering third-party content, Amazon Prime is no stranger to big streaming productions with originals like Reacher, The Rings of Power, Citadel, The Boys, and more. As of this writing, Prime has only one streaming tier which allows up to three concurrent streaming and 4K video quality on selected titles.

What is The Test Season 3 about?
The Test Season 3 chronicles the Australian men’s cricket team’s arduous journey between June and July 2023 when they take on India in the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final and England in the 2023 Ashes series.
Taking on cricket’s two superpowers – India, which is headlined by the legendary Virat Kohli, and England with their new and aggressive “BazBall” approach – the Australian men’s cricket team is introduced to a new level of pressure.
And so, this season will examine every behind-the-scenes moment as players battle their strongest competition and face passionate yet hostile crowds. Most importantly, the team is also confronted with the immense responsibility of a tour that will make or break their legacy.
Showing the intimate side of the competition, players such as Captain Pat Cummins, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, and Alex Carey also look back on some defining moments with their families.
The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team, is produced by Amazon Studios and Cricket Australia. The docu-series is directed by Adrian Brown with Sheldon Wynne serving as co-director for seasons 2 and 3. The former is also credited as producer alongside Mish Armstrong and Richard Ostroff.
